The private sector is a key stakeholder in the fight against plastic pollution. Businesses produce and consume plastic, but they also offer solutions.

The BeMed Business Club is a working space for businesses, scientists and representatives of civil society to share knowledge and test practical solutions on the ground to tackle a complex issue.

The Tara Ocean Foundation

The Tara Ocean Foundation, the first recognised public interest foundation dedicated to the ocean, uses the schooner Tara to develop open, innovative and unprecedented ocean science that will enable us to predict and better anticipate the impact of climate change. It uses this high level scientific expertise to raise awareness and educate younger generations, but also to mobilise political decision-makers and enable developing countries to access this new knowledge. The Tara Foundation is a Special Observer at the UN and actively participates in the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN’s 2030 Agenda. We want to make the ocean a shared responsibility.
