Since 2013, the Association AgroTech SM has been looking into the impact of agricultural plastic waste on the environment and human health.
The project aims to improve the collection and recovery of agricultural plastic waste in the Souss Massa region through awareness-raising, training for stakeholders in the sector and the dissemination of good practices.
- Development of a technical guide on agricultural plastic waste management for farmers and collectors/recyclers, presented during a training session attended by nearly 80 operators.
- Organisation of around ten meetings and training sessions with approximately 30 participants each, including field visits and awareness-raising video clips.
- Commitment by operators to create a regional federation for the sorting and recovery of agricultural plastic waste and to structure informal collectors.
- Personalised support for 16 recycling units, with the involvement of international experts.
