#zeroplastic, awareness raising campaign against plastic debris and microplastics

The #zeroplastic, awareness raising campaign against plastic debris and microplastics project has two objectives.

Firstly, it aims to use art to raise awareness about the impacts and dangers of plastic pollution at sea. The association will use “shock” photographs on social networks and install sculptures in public spaces to demonstrate the impacts of plastic pollution on marine life and humans. Thanks to the involvement of municipalities, the association will also create a mural on a public building and show a film on the challenges of plastic pollution.

In a second phase, the project aims to raise awareness among diving clubs and support them in reducing the use of plastic in their activities. Waste collection at sea will be organised with the different clubs. Workshops will be held to identify the single-use plastics used by the clubs and to provide alternatives to be put in place.  The association will also help the instructors to raise awareness of the impact of plastic pollution among their clients.
