As part of the pilot project carried out at the La Badira hotel in Hammamet, Wassime Chaabane conducted an in-depth analysis of waste management in Tunisia. In the first part, this study explores the financial flows associated with waste management, the specific characteristics of coastal areas, the composition of household waste, plastic waste and the national waste management system.
The second part is dedicated to the local situation in the city of Hammamet, with a detailed analysis of the waste collection system and the quantities generated, the material flows from hotel waste, and the characterisation of household and hotel waste.
