Local dialogue for sustainable plastic waste management
The APEDDUB association’s project aimed to create a civic dynamic around plastic pollution in Bizerte by involving local stakeholders in the development of an action plan for plastic waste management.
- Awareness and engagement: More than 500 citizens were made aware of the issue during a day organized at the Bizerte Sea Forum in July 2020.
- Workshops and collaboration: A launch workshop brought together various local stakeholders to present the objectives of the project and launch the creation of a consultation platform. Training and advocacy workshops were organized for young people, associations and the media.
- Action plan: A local action plan was drawn up, defining the roles of each stakeholder, and an open day was held to present this plan, as well as the consultation platform and the “Zero Plastic” commitment charters.
