The initiative “Inter-State Rivers, Seas Plastic Cleanup, Stable Balkan” will encourage the youth of 5 states and universities of West Balkan to learn about plastic pollution problem and participate to recycling activities. Several cultural, sporting, artistic and environmental-friendly activities will be organized and an alliance for cleaning up rivers flowing into the Adriatic and Ionian Sea will be built. These activities will target the Drini i Zi, the Drini i Bardhe, the Bojana and the Shkumbin rivers.
This movement is unique in the Balkans as it intends to involve youth of 5 different states. The website of this initiative will be a platform for the students to communicate and will help coordinating the different activities for plastic removal in the main inter-state rivers.
