Plastic Fighters

DelTa was selected by the BeMed call for micro-initiatives in 2024, with the ambition of creating a card game dedicated to raising awareness about plastic pollution and its impacts on marine and human health.

Over a year and a half, DelTa developed and tested the game, designed for children aged 8 and over. The game is intended for use in schools, by environmental organisations and in sailing clubs, providing an interactive way to explore the links between human activities, plastic pollution and its impacts on marine ecosystems and coastal communities.

Based in Italy, DelTa has also produced an English translation and is open to collaborating on translations into other languages, with the aim of making the game accessible and adaptable for use in other countries.

Key achievements:

420 printed copies produced and distributed.
The game was successfully showcased in schools, science museums and scientific events.
Strong appreciation from teachers, particularly for its educational value and interactive approach.
A resource designed to be freely accessible and adaptable, facilitating its use by educators and organisations beyond Italy.
