Our online training course ‘Towards a zero single-use plastic hotel’

The context

As part of the Business Club, we support our member companies in working together to implement pilot projects in the field.

The Business Club’s first pilot project focused on the hotel sector and was launched at the InterContinental Marseille – Hôtel Dieu in 2022. The pilot project demonstrated that it was possible to reduce single-use plastics in a hotel while engaging staff, without compromising customer service and without additional financial costs for the establishment.

The project was then replicated at the La Badira hotel in Tunisia in 2024. The project in Tunisia focused on reducing plastics in the back office, particularly in the kitchen, with positive repercussions on operational efficiency, costs and circular waste management.
